Millions don’t have access to safe water
I’ve seen the problems caused by not having access to safe water. I’ve met students who have to walk miles a day to fetch water and who have lost family members due to water-related diseases. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are solutions and I am committed to doing what I can to impact the global water crisis.

EDUCATION
I have been involved with educating others about the global water crisis since eighth grade. Every opportunity I had to do a school project about water, I took. More recently, I have created and adapted an outreach event to teach over 200 students about the global water crisis and water filtration methods.

FUNDRAISING
I have been a part of quite a few fundraising campaigns to provide rural Kenyan communities water systems. In total, I have contributed towards projects that have raised over $250,000 for water systems. I am also committed to financially contribute towards clean water solutions in Kenya and beyond.

FINDING SOLUTIONS
It has been incredible being a part of the research and development for clean water solutions. I joined the Su lab because of the revolutionary work they are doing in electrochemical water purification. I was also able to be a part of the innovation in Water Mission that will provide better clean water solutions.
Water Documentary
In my college prep class, I decided to make my semester’s project about the global water crisis. The semester ended with the creation of a mini documentary.
